I drew the crosswalk several times before:
같은 횡단보도의 그림들을 이전에 올린 바 있다:
Crosswalk (for Benches and Containers) / 벤치와 컨테이너의 횡단보도
Crosswalk on a Foggy Day / 안개 낀 날의 횡단보도
Stroller on a Rainy Crosswalk / 비 오는 횡단보도를 건너는 유모차

I love this. A lonely spot, but they’re together and don’t feel it.

Thank you, Claudia. And I agree. I guess their being by themselves in the scene may accentuate their togetherness. If there were a big crowd, they might have been lonely.

The feeling that they are relying on each other with no one else around to be involved, or to care, or to interfere, either, I like that enclosed little emotional space they have in the middle of all the open emptiness.

Thank you! I wonder what the child and dad would have thought as they cross the street. “Nice sunshine” as well, perhaps, although the rest I wouldn’t know.

That’s the beauty of art – it has so many stories :-).
