Prospect / 전망

A beloved space can show more than meets the eye.

Mixed media, 2018

This is my first try on semi-abstract painting. It also concludes a series on my move from the US to the UK. In the series, I tried to record and reconstruct places I love as I left them:

The dolphin and the background appeared also on my past postings:

    1. Thank you, Andy! I’m glad you like it. Initially there were many more colours (yes, not “colors” from now… 😉 but I thought I’d simplify them since the shape are already quite complex.

  1. I like this a lot – not sure why – the flying dolphin? the tree? bird feeders? so many things to think about.

What are you doing in England, if I may ask? Studies?

    1. Thank you – the place evoked rich imagery, which I liked a lot, so I’m glad if the piece is doing something similar. And yes, I am starting as a postdoctoral researcher (the role scientists take after finishing their PhD until getting a permanent position somewhere.)
