Thank you, Claudia! I indeed spared a lot, as you can see from my next post comparing it with the original photo. I feel like this version pulled itself out of the original, into a pure and distant form.

Great image, but it doesnt instil any tranquillity in me – more a sense of hopelessness. No less valid though.

I agree it looks quite desolate! I posted a follow-up comparing it with the original photo. Perhaps you’ll see that the original looks much more hopeful.
